Gender test Nipt

Those that have used it before, can nipt tell you sex for each baby if carrying twins? I did the gender nipt test and waiting for results. I have 4 girls I wish I can have boys, even just one but at the end of the day, anything is a blessing from God.

I do a NIPT test and can tell the sex of the baby’s , you need to tell tem you want to know. Me tell 2 boys

They were able to tell me that I was having one boy and one girl with my NIPT results.

@Ceri-Ann just called them and they said just that. Not so helpful but atleast will know if the is a boy in there or no 😅

@Ceri-Ann that's incorrect. They told me I was having one of each at 10 weeks. It's new technology for sure but they can tell what you're having whether it's 2 boys, 2 girls, or one of each now. Or maybe the US is just advanced

@Kylee the U.K. process the NIPT slightly differently (mainly because of the cost implications and the fact we get our care without a bill at the end) so it depends on what the NIPT is requested for, via private clinics most will do it purely for gender, if it’s done via the hospital for abnormalities they will likely do a full genetics screen The picture I’ve posted is literally taken from the U.K. NIPT guidance

In nipt test it will tell you boys. Not for female chromosome as it’s showing your’s. I got boy n girl twins

Dang that sucks! Mine was done 2 years ago now in the US when they very first started to be able to tell boys, girls, one of each, chromosomal abnormalities, the whole shebang! I worked in my OB office and one of the NIPT companies we use came for a lunch-and-learn when I was 7 weeks pregnant and explained how they can tell with twins now and I was soooo hyped to take my test 3 weeks later 😅

Omg bless you for being able to wait to see! It was always so fun filling NIPTs into patient files for twin moms results and seeing male/male female/female or like mine says male/female! I'm surprised the UK and US aren't more similar!

There are different types of NIPT tests. The one I got done was called the panorama NIPT test which is the most accurate and it did tell me one was a boy and one a girl. 4 weeks later it was confirmed on ultrasound.

@Stephanie yesss! In my office we most often used Nateras Panorama!

@Kylee yep that's the one my office used as well!

@Kylee I know it’s crazy that they can just know one sex
