@Leah Simon why no underwear? At what point would be appropriate to introduce wearing pants?x
@Leah Simon thanks for the advise. I’ll have a look at that book. I initially tried her being naked but she really doesn’t like it, I’ve kept her to bare minimum of knickers and a vest when at home which she is okay with.
The underwear feels too much like a diaper when they start out. Once they get the hang of it, you can add them in. Also, getting whatever is on them off in time can be tricky, so you want to reduce the difficulty. If she doesn't like naked, try something very loose. Boys boxer shorts might be a good option.
I would do speech therapy so there can be better communication and use rewards/potty watch. You have to fully take away the diaper option and just tell them you don’t have them any more. Nude from the waist down for a week has always been key for every kid I’ve trained. She’ll get it! Just stay consistent! If you cave or allow diapers, it’ll throw them off.
Instead of asking, take her to the potty. The oh crap potty training book was very helpful. Basically, If you can, spend a few days home and have her naked from the waist down. Then after you both get the hang of it, try skirts or loose pants only, no underwear. and start with short outings.
