What should I do

My LO is turning 2 at the end of Sept. His party has been planned for almost 2 weeks now and my grandmother has already decided to invite 10 extra guests when this was meant to be for a total of 20 people (the people my LO is closest to). I tried talking to her about this and I was just called disrespectful and told that if I couldn’t afford the party then I shouldn’t throw one. I’m worried that she is going to invite more guests in the coming weeks that I won’t be able to accommodate for given how limited my budget is. What should I do??

Tell her to pay for the extra guests or have her own party. she shouldn't be inviting people if she can't afford it.

@janet that was considered disrespectful of me to all her to pay for the extra guests or to uninvite them. She insisted I wasn’t being thoughtful only inviting close family and that I was hurting people’s feelings. Should I just change the party details and not tell her until last minute? I’m not sure anymore.

I went through this with my first spent over 1k n was stressed out. For our 2nd baby only did close family that actually was there for us and our kids about 60 people n I was happy. If other people get butt hurt not my problem. Things go both ways if u dint make the effort neither will I. Don't fall for the guilt trip been there. Do what works for you and your piece of mind

If she doesnt respect ur feels don't respecte hers do what u want for ur child with ur money
