Moses Basket

Hi Moms! How, have you found Moses Basket, has it been worth the investment? I'm tempted to look for a second-hand one, but I'm looking for any other tips and advice.

Also interested! A few friends have said they only used theirs for a few weeks which seems a waste

I think I’m going to get a second hand one and new mattress. There are some lovely expensive ones that are in good condition going on fb marketplace!

I had one with my eldest and middle child, but haven't bothered with my 3rd! We used the carry cot for the pram downstairs and the next to me crib in our bedroom

My baby loved his as they are smaller than the next to me cribs. He stayed in it until 3 months old so I think they are worth £40

I used to the pod downstairs Next to me upstairs Little one hates the moses basket

Mine felt most secure in his moses basket as a newborn and slept well in it day and night. He found his crib too big to start so we put the moses basket in it till he outgrew it. Got the moses basket free but bought new mattress

I think it depends how big your baby is, my little girl was 5pound 13oz and she’s 3 month and 3 weeks old, she is still in her Moses basket and I think she’ll be grown out of it in the next two weeks or so. I used mine at night times in the next to me, because she was so tiny and looked absolutely lost in her next to me. I’ve definitely had good use out of mine, I’d of been lost without it xx

We got the Kinder Basket Waffle Moses Basket and our little one was comfy as anything. He grew out of it fairly quickly though and we ended up moving temporarily moving him to a travel cot until he was old enough to go into his own room (our room wasn't set up to safely host a next-to-me, due to placement of radiator etc but I don't feel like we felt we were massively missing out) x

Same here, my girl is only a week old but she only sleeps in her moses basket. We had it downstairs but ended up bringing it upstairs in our bedroom as she found the next to me too big

Thank you, It seems that it's handy in most of the cases. One more question: Rocking or non rocking? 😀

Maybe non rocking, so you won't have to rock to sleep at night
