Hey! My 3 year old is week 2 into potty training, each time her pants are off she takes the opportunity to touch herself.. even at dinner.. how do we discourage this without making her think it’s bad if that makes sense ?

Yeah true that’s a good point, we have had the odd accident just before dinner from playing and forgetting to need a pee so I’ll make sure I direct her to potty then put pants on ! Thank you x
She started to lick her hand after touching which she does for everything anyway and she’s just exploring it’s just freaking me and my husband out a bit lol 😂

How about seeing if the curiosity will run its course? My daughter sometimes looks at hers in the bath (always less than a minute) but I’ve consciously never made a big deal of it. I’ve taught her that it’s called a vulva and that she needs to be gentle but otherwise I guess it’s hers to look at and touch 🤷♀️ Maybe pants on at dinner?
