Help working out how far along I am

NHS website says 8 weeks, Flo app says 5 weeks. Date of last period 1/7/2024-7/7/2024 thank you

That would be wrong as if your last period was in the 6th month as in June you’d be 13 weeks, so I’m confused

@Helen that’s what I got that’s why I’m confused with the dates

Your weeks of pregnancy are counted from the first day of your last period so I call it 13+2

I don't have a calendar with me. If you count the number of weeks from June 1st that will be how far along you are.

@Karen @Helen @E🫶🏼🌷💫I put wrong number sorry, it’s July x

Then you’d be around 8 weeks

I’ve got 9 weeks and you’ll be due around 7th April x

Ah in that case, yeah around 9 weeks

Yeah NHS calculations are much more accurate and will be closer to the date they give you on your dating scan :) I wouldn't really pay much mind to apps like Flo. I've seen a lot of people post about those being off, so maybe the app has some issues

9 weeks today by dates which is what clinicians will use until a scan says otherwise (I’m an NHS midwife)

I had to go for dating scans for all my pregnancies as I have irregular periods. For example my LMP was 24/04 but I’m 15wks pregnant. Probably doesn’t help breastfeeding and being on the pill but it happens. Hopeufully you’ll have a clear answer when you go for a dating scan x

@Sharnee I’m 3 months pp and got pcos, I had my first boy without having any periods for 3 months so Ik it’s definitely possible just trying to work out when it could’ve been. Am getting a private scan this Saturday tho! X

@Ceri-Ann because I’m 3 months pp, will there be any problems? I got told to wait a year atleast by midwife, this wasn’t planned to get pregnant this early on at all, I’m scared

There more chance of complications if you had a previous C-section but if you had a vaginal delivery there’s generally not many complications with a quick subsequent pregnancy

Oh definitely understand the unplanned. And it was more so that I’m still bf and was on the pill so didn’t think there was a possibility of me getting pregnant and therefore it was hard to determine how far along I was - especially as I had almost zero symptoms for the first 10wks. Hopefully the private scan goes well for you x
