Rant! 😥 Depressed over the economy.

I feel like I'm drowning. I worked my ssa off to get a promotion the past few months. I was so happy and excited to have a significant bump in pay so things won't be so tight in our household, only to be slapped with higher bills. The same day I received my higher check, I log on to pay my mortgage and to my shock it has increased by $400 a month. I call the bank and was told that both my insurance and taxes went up significantly. We have only owned our house for 2 years and have a fixed rate mortgage but our payments have went from $2100 to $2600 a month!! I'm disturbed. I'm so tired and depressed and feel defeated trying to keep up with all of these bills increasing. I got a raise only to still be struggling. How the hell are we supposed to keep up? How are we supposed to survive? 😥 All I've done for the past few days is sleep and cry because I just can't handle all this stress.

Ugh 😳 that’s a lot of an increase, what state are you in?

@Olga Maryland.

Didn’t even know they raise taxes so fast in MD. That’s sad. Thought you were in Cali.

@Olga My insurance increased twice too and I have a cushion on my escrow account 😥. It's not just taxes.

I'm so sorry. I feel this and I have no solutions, it's just exhausting to feel we're all working our butts off and costs keep going up.

That's wild I thought mortgages were fixed what raised it ? I'm definitely turned off from buying a home now. I do hope things get better for you. This economy does indeed suck

@Beebe 🐝 My taxes and insurance increased.

Damn. Sorry to hear.

@Beebe 🐝 Just be mindful that as the value of your home increases, you'll be taxed based on how much your house is worth, not how much you purchased it for. And insurance can change from year to year for whatever reason they want. I'll have to shop around for new insurance.
