Sibling stories after ivf for first?

Hi all. I was lucky enough to have my son via ivf second time. I have just had a failed fet using my third ‘best’ embryo and have three remaining which are differing grades but obviously not as good as the first couple. I wondered if people could share their journeys of how long it took and if they managed to give their child a sibling? Thank you!

It took us 5 total transfers for 2 kids. My son was the 2nd and my daughter was the 5th.

8 transfers the 2nd and 8th were successful. I will say I had a lot of extras for number 8 and it paid off!

@Emma thank you! What extras did you have? I’m definitely going to be asking for a few checks prior to the next transfer as I feel I was just rushed in and assumed it would work!

Had lots of blood tests some for basics like vit d and thyroid and went on meds for them, also took metformin. Had blood clotting test and also tested natural killer cells which were elevated so had a protocol including intralipids and steroids. Had more progesterone checks throughout and took far more than previously. Did the PGTA testing and embryo glue and zymot sperm selection. For me after so many failed it was all or nothing!

@Emma wow I’m so happy it finally worked out for you! I’m definitely going to be asking more questions next week. I don’t want to waste anymore embryos!
