First day of nursery 🥹

Ladies, my LO's first day at nursery today, he's gone for 5 hours. I have just dropped him off and I'm sat blubbering like a baby in the car, I dont go back to work until Nov, but using his free hours in Sept & Oct to settle him in before I go back to work. I'm heartbroke and can't wait to pick him up already, please tell me it gets easier 😢 photo of me and him on holiday last week 🥰🫶

Aww bless! ❤️ I know it’s torture for you right now that’s fantastic to ease him (and you!) into nursery and give yourself some time as well! They’ll keep him so busy I’m sure it’ll feel like no time before he sees you again 😊

@Meghan it really is 😞 and thankyou, I didn't want to just go back to work and take him, like you say I wanted to ease us both in 🥹 and I hope he absolutely loves it and enjoys it, I know it'll help him come on leaps and bounds but it doesn't make it any easier 😢 xx

@Molly aww that's amazing, he's our first child so first time we've be through it 😞 the staff seem amazing, I've had updates all morning, pictures, a video and messages and he seemed happy and smiley when I picked him up, so I'm relieved 😌 xx

Aww he is so cute 😍may I ask how you use the free hours before you go back to work? I thought we are only entitled to it when we are back to work

@Heidi thankyou 😍 and of course, yes, you can only apply for them if your returning to work within 30days of applying. Technically my mat leave has ended :) I am using all my annual leave for the remainder of my time off as I get all my annual leave back aswell as all bank holidays (really good company I work for) :)
