Getting organised

Hey! Currently nearly 31 weeks pregnant, when is everybody thinking about being organised? As in putting the next to me crib up etc? Thanks

My crib is up but in the nursery, will move into the bedroom nearer the time. Washing done. Hospital bags packed. Not Sure there's anything else I need to do really before baby comes. Just put the clean sheets on the bed/Moses basket 🥰

@Charley wow your so organised 🙈

@Caitlin I'm glad I did it early tbh because now I'm really sore and tired, couldn't imagine decorating a nursery or countless loads of laundry now 😆

@Charley I've done the washing etc but it's just bits like stuff in my bedroom and hospital bag 😂

Cot is up because I never dismantled my sons 🙈 just moved it straight into the nursery when my little boy went into his new bed. Started washing today, while it’s still sunny ☀️

All our furniture is built, mattresses are still wrapped, everything is stored in her room including the pram. Her car seat is in the car as that is just an easy place to store it as we will run out of room otherwise. I am waiting on a couple of items being delivered to pack my hospital bag. All her clothes, blankets and sheets need washing but I need to organise it first so I know what I actually have. We are generally very organised people anyway, like packing at least a week before going on holiday.

Im still waiting on the carpet to be fitted in our nursery😫. Can’t buy furniture until thats done, hopefully next weekend🤞. Im expecting to be done with most of the set up (crib, cot, washing) and hospital bag etc by end of September early October so by 34-35 weeks. 🤞🤞🤞 (I would like to add that im usually a procrastinator and leave everything to last minute and thats when im most productive for some weird reason, but nesting instincts are kicking in full force and im finding that im a lot more productive when it comes to organising stuff ahead of the babys arrival. Im itching to do all the washing and packing for her)

Our nursery is currently just our spare room (complete with single bed still in there) with a tonne of baby stuff piled up on the bed. I haven't bought changing bag yet. Next to me is still in the loft along with clothing unwashed. With my first I was so super organised and impatiently bought things and then I had a baby shower and so many people asked me what they can get that's actually useful to us that I ran out of things to ask for and regretted buying so much ahead. So this time around I'm waiting until after my shower to do much shopping, washing etc. It's really hard to wait to do the nursery but I've been satisfying my nesting instincts by reorganising the kitchen cupboards, cleaning out the fridge/freezer etc. We also have a 2 year old so have been putting off swapping the beds around as he is going into the bed from spare room and his cot bed is going into the nursery.

I wouldn’t worry, I’m 31 weeks, I’ve just been buying stuff as and when they’ve been on offer! So we just have a pile of stuff in our nursery. (Empty room) Haven’t built or washed anything yet, travel system is arriving in a few weeks. Everybody is different and some people like to have everything ready early and some don’t. In the world we live in it doesn’t matter you can get most things on next day delivery or ask family/friends to pick bits up for you. Do it in your own time just make sure you have the necessary basics for a newborn, and hospital bits for yourself everything else will fall into place x

Honestly, I'm 28 weeks and so unorganised at the moment 🤣 I don't even have clothes for baby and all furniture is still in boxes🤦‍♀️ Will probably sort out soon but it's terrible 🤣
