Getting sacked

Can your company sack you for getting pregnant while on maternity leave and needing maternity again with in a year ? I’m on maternity leave and due back in November but I’m dreading telling them and have this fear there going to ask me

I had 2 babies within a year and currently on my second paid mat leave went off April 2023 and returned to work Jan 2024 and was then off again April 2024 from what my employer said you have to work a certain amount of time in between to be eligible for the second mat leave pay. Even if that time isn’t worked you are still eligible for the maternity leave unpaid and no they are not allowed to sack you Hope this helps x

I was pregnant when returning from my first mat leave, returned Oct then left the following May for another paid mat leave. It's different everywhere but I just had to be in 'continuous service' and mat leave counts as that. Fully dependent on your company's policy 😊

No they can’t! I got pregnant 6 months PP, went back to work part time when my first was 9 months old then did full time hours for 6 weeks before leaving for maternity again.

nope they cannot.. you are technically protected by law

They would be discriminating against you and you could easily take them to court and win if they did
