Lol I always thought I was fairly good at mental math but your examples are making me rethink that 🤣
@s a r a 🥀 same. My husband is great at math. Me, not so much. I dislike using cash because I usually never know how much I'm supposed to get back until I leave and can calculate it 😭
I was always decent at maths, but I personally wouldn’t have considered your first two questions “simple” ahahha🤣
@Favi yeah. Those are really advanced for me.
Did these in my head quicker than I thought. Still had to double check on calculator afterwards though.
Absolutely horrible at math. I really started to struggle with it in 7th grade and it never got better 😅 When I was in college I had to start in a a very low level class. The class consisted of exchange students who’s first language wasn’t English 🤦🏼♀️
Everyone should know 45/5 at least
@Bethany yes. But I need to use my fingers. So, I know it, but especially if I'm with someone other than my husband and have to calculate stuff like this, I panic and need to use my fingers. I think it's because in school I was horrible at it and hated being called on because I usually never knew the answer or how to solve the problem. So yes, everyone should but for some people it's still tough. 'member how I said not to make fun of us.
@Brittany oh my gosh. It's almost like I wrote that. I had to start with basic classes too and it was the only classes I took during those semesters because I had to dedicate nearly all of my time just to barely pass them. I hated those semesters because I was really struggling and had to basically start working on math problems from the moment I woke up until I went to bed.
I'm pretty good at math, I did the last two really quickly but random percentages of larger numbers always mess me up
@Kylie yeah. When I get a salon service or massage, I always make sure that I know exactly what the service is going to cost so that I know how to tip. One time I really under tipped and then I started over tipping for the longest time because I felt horrible when I realized how much I had under tipped. I'm always thankful for the places that have the option to tip certain percentages because then I don't have to do the math and risk under tipping someone else.
That’s me with working as a cashier. I refuse to work at a cashier because I don’t know how much to give back 😅
I need a minute and a pencil because numbers just fly out of my head 😭 If I have to remember mentally only chances are I could get it wrong lol
Ugh yes! I hated it lol! Thank god my husband is a math whiz so he can help our kids 😅

Honestly, I was a math major in college and I'm too worn out to even attempt the first two. Being quick with calculating numbers is a different skill set than completing advanced level math problems.
I’m terrible at math also and my husband say take your time it’s easy but I’m here
10% of 168 is 16.8 then 1.68 x6
I literally couldn’t even read this because my brain doesn’t even read numbers let alone solve them 😂
@Tessa that's how I am. If I wouldn't have written this and someone else posted this, my brain would have immediately been like, "nope"!
I’ve been in school for a year now. And I’ve had to retake my math class because I failed it the first time…if that tells you anything lol. I can do basic math in my head. But not that other crap lol.
I’m terrible at math. My husband on the other hand is good with math. He always tell me it’s easy 😭
