Birthday party length

So I’m organising my little boy’s first birthday party and was wondering how long to hold for and ideally what time you’d choose? I’m a first time parent so have no clue

I’ve planned 1-4 for mine! But have no idea either lol xx

My daughter’s birthday is the 27th so obviously everyone might be busy I think we are going to do 12-4 and people just turn up and leave when they want. I feel like 4 hours is a good amount for a first birthday but I have no idea

I did 1-4 but similar thing as 15th December so give lots of notice xx

Thanks all. I actually have a January baby (2nd) but this group is more active and he was due xmas eve

I would say do around naps, but I guess by then our babies might only be having 1 nap, in which case I guess after dinner 🤷‍♀️ also a FTM
