Hi! Does anyone actually know how bad it is to drink while on depression pills? I don’t mean like constant drinking just if I was to have a rare night off without my daughter and wanted to get shitfaced with my pals 😂 Is it best to just skip the meds for that night? I’m on a 15mg dose and all the stuff online says it could basically sedate me but I’m not seeing any stuff from people who actually take them just the sites that tell you the general info that you can find on the packet 🤷‍♀️

It would be best to speak to a pharmacist, I’m on antidepressants and before I got pregnant I drank on them but it’s different for different medication

one drink feels like four while on antidepressants lol (ask me how I know🤣). def take it easy bc it’s so easy to over do it. enjoy your night with pals, girl! you deserve it!

It could cause black outs and can be very dangerous. Mixing these two suppressants could end up in a coma. Just take it slow. See how you feel after one drink and go from there. I wouldn’t recommend getting too crazy though because the risks.

I'd always talk to your doctor for sure! But I went through a patch of 18 months where I drank heavily for 3/4 nights a week and I was on 100mg on sertraline - I took it 90% of the time whilst heavily intoxicated but again, I'd always check with your doctor

Please don’t drink while on depression meds. You’re not going to have a heart attack and die but you’ll likely end up going into a drunken rage and embarrass yourself. I was on Zoloft (prescribed) and I drank on it and ended up raging and don’t remember anything. That’s never happened to me before but I had also just start taking the medication. I still to this day cringe from the stuff my girlfriends were telling me I was doing/saying. Just don’t do it it’s not worth it. If you wanna drink then go off your meds for a couple days first 🫶🏼
