Toddler help

I neee your help. I have a 2 year old nearly 3 year old toddler who is fully potty trained. Since he has been fully potty trained he always goes back to his potty after he has finished a pee or a poo and insist that he is the one to dump it in the potty or play with it and I am at my whits end as he is starting pre in a couple of weeks. I don’t know if it’s a texture thing when he plays with it cause he does have Autism and ADHD

omg kids are obsessed with the toilets 🫣 i teach PreK and so many of them want to clean the potties or fish things out of it or put things in its wild. i have to remind them, “this is a teacher (or in your case grown up) job.” then i give them some other task they can do to help, like refill the soap, sweep the floor idk something to get their attention away from the toilet

Maybe start using the big potty instead of the little one so it doesn’t need to be dumped and he can flush immediately after especially if he will be starting school soon. I’m pretty sure they only use the regular toilets. I don’t know just a suggestion kids love to dump their own Parties. It’s part of them feeling independent on their potty and journey, but part of it could be the autism as well. My cousin‘s little boy will take off his diapers and play in his poop and got a massive massive infection from doing it and it’s harder to manage when they’re sick and have autism. I felt so bad he was so miserable.

Start using toilet. I have an insert seat on my toilet and ever since he was fully trained he uses that. The potty was only useful for having it in the lounge when we were training. Then we switched to the toilet when he can hold it longer etc

Okay. If you have the space. I like this one. The splash guard is perfect for little boys and I just let him flush it. https://a.co/d/bIE1JBS
