Hi! I’m literally in the same boat, just found out I’m a carrier of CF and my husband’s blood is being tested currently. I SOBBED when I found out, it’s so scary and overwhelming! Always here to talk if you want to chat more, I know how lonely it can feel to be going through something like this. Remember that you are doing your absolute best Momma and try to focus on some self care 💗
@Nicolle 1 in 20 Americans are CF carriers, nothing to be alarmed about. Most all people will test positive for at least a few! It is totally normal and nothing to be concerned about!

I also tested positive for CF but my husband didn’t! We also stressed out unnecessarily about it - sending good vibes your way!

If it helps, even **if** he tests positive the chances of having a kid with it are only 25%. And if your NIPT came back normal, you should be good to go! Rooting for you both!!
It’s normal to test positive for a few things. Nothing to worry about at all. Most people test positive for at least a few. I‘m a carrier for my dads gene mutation (muscular dystrophy). Even if your husband is a carrier too, there is only a 25% chance that baby will then get it, so honestly chances are very slim 🙃. You‘ll be totally fine. Maybe schedule a meeting with a genetic counselor, they can explain it better in detail, but I wouldn’t worry at all!
