Anyone using BF as contraception?

I’m wondering how it works! I’ve read a lot on it but I don’t feel like anything’s straight forward with breastfeeding😩🤣 it’s like “you can do this but you can’t”🤣 I ebf my little boy who’s now 18 month old I fell pregnant with my little girl when my little boy was 7 months old and I read that it can be used as a form of contraception up untill 6 months! I did not know this hense the reason I fell pregnant 7 months pp🙄🤣 my periods returned very soon after giving birth both times so does this mean I’m out from using it as contraception? I don’t believe in the pill, implant coil etc as I don’t want to pump my body with artificial hormones, each to their own though it’s not a dig against people using it I just chose not to so I track my ovulation. I started doing this last month after my first period after having my little girl but I didn’t have one positive ovulation test but had a period again this month.

It doesn’t work 😂 you could get pregnant any time when breastfeeding, even before your baby is six months. It’s not a form of contraception. Maybe try using natural cycles? But even with that you can still get pregnant, it’s not really a contraceptive method.

Recommend r The book “period repair manual” super informative about these kind of things! X

I was breastfeeding and on the pill and got pregnant.. 10/10 do not recommend 😅 (yes, I was taking the pill consistently and never missed one). Freak accident 😬
