Potty Training

Has anyone else not been successful with potty training their 3 year old? My son has no desire to pee on the toilet.

Following because same!

Have you tried the three day stay home and no underwear method?

Same my May 21 son is not into it AT ALL … we are going commando this weekend since it’s Labor Day and we have the time off hope it works!

I am struggling to one will go some times the other one won’t go much it’s like there ready but the keep using there pull up

I have a daughter so I know the method is different but she refused for awhile we did the no pants and underwear method and I set a timer and took her every 30mins (I’m a sahm so I was able too) made sure she knew ACCIDENTS were okay but PURPOSELY doing it was a no no and I’d take her to the bathroom with me. She caught on and did it when she started showing interest in the potty. Best way is use their screen time to your advantage and put on potty training stuff and songs. When you have to go explain that feeling for them and bring them with you show them how exciting the potty is etc. of course this is what worked for me. Idk if it’s very helpful. Good luck momma

I did fully potty train my son he is a May 26, 2021 baby. I honestly felt defeated and thought that he would never get it at one point, but with lots of prayer I kept going and he got the hang of it. Now he is able to do it all including wiping himself, and he is even self training at night now! He wakes up to pee and has a dry diaper in the morning. So I tried the three day thing and read an entire book on it, plus watched many videos but it just didn’t work for us!! The way that I did it was I got a whole bunch of absorbent underwear from Amazon. First thing in the morning encourage to pee in potty. Change into underwear immediately. Breakfast, potty break, play time, potty break, snack, potty break, study time, potty break ETC. My son absolutely HATED every time we paused for potty because they are having fun and simply don’t want to stop to pee, think about how convenient diapers were for them their whole life up until now lol. There were many accidents, but now it’s done!✅🤗🩷

I potty trained my son starting at 12 months old just like I did for my daughter. We've been full port trained for about a year.

I’ve been potty training my son 3, and daughter 2, and the first 3 days were super tough for her, but she’s doing so great now, but my son has no interest still. It’s going on probably two weeks, we just do underwear & pull-ups at bedtime. He doesn’t even seem bothered by getting wet. Hoping he has a breakthrough soon though.

We’re going through a sort of potty training regression! It’s been rough.. not sure why he’s using the potty less and less but all we can do is stay on it ..
