If you’re in the uk on the nhs. They will do tests to check and confirm and likely test sperm too. Then they will come up with a plan for you likely clomid ar first. You will have internal ultrasounds aka the wand but you get used to it!

I went thru clomid, letrozole, two rounds of IuI, then ultimately two rounds of egg retrievals and one round of IVF (because it was successful! Thank god!). All of that took about 1.5 years. But now I have a beautiful 2.5 yr old daughter… anyway…first appointment is usually just a bunch of tests and discussion about what you’ve tried, why you’re seeking treatment, etc. they’ll do a vaginal scan to check your uterus and ovaries / eggs too. They’ll check your partners sperm, although maybe not in the same appointment. Letrozole is usually the first medication they try with you, which is used to make you ovulate. They will then try to help you conceive “naturally” aka with intercourse, usually two to three tries, before moving onto IUI. Then usually 2-3 rounds of IUI before moving onto IVF. If you have any specific questions, don’t hesitate to PM me! I’m happy to help someone else on their journey, as I remember having so many questions myself, but not knowing maybe people I could ask..

@Alyssa good luck mama!
