This was me at 25 weeks , I managed to make it to 34 weeks for a c section but my god I spent a month in hospital to get me there, there's no way I would have been able to work past about 30 weeks I was pretty much bed bound with the swelling. You've got to listen to your body xx
Thank you ladies. Bp still 144/94 after 600mg of it a day so might be further upped to 800mg. Also agreed to sign me off work for two weeks as pulse is also reaching 120-140 resting heart rate but not sure wether it’s pathetic to be off work when I’ve not actually got it only the hypertension and headaches Etc. Also not sure if I’d get paid for it so still unsure what to do :/ I’m glad yours both worked out well in the end ❤️❤️❤️xxx
@Hannah you might not have pre-eclampsia right now as it develops very rapidly but it certainly sounds like it's heading that way xx
@Amber yeah I’m staying in another night now. Tried my bp again an hour after my next dose and still 157/101 and then 151/89 so now adding one more blood pressure medication and keeping me in to observe it overnight. Hopefully this will do it now. Hoping to be sent home tomorrow ❤️. Thank you love. How are you feeling? How are your gorgeous twins doing? Xx
Hi! Are u based in the Uk? I am in similar situation with a start of preeclampsia and triage visits constantly and I think that my workplace will make me go to mat leave already
I worked all the way up until I was hospitalised at 32 weeks and had LO at 33 weeks due to how quickly my preeclampsia had progressed. At the end of the day it’s down to you if you want to keep working, whether or not you feel it’s best to stay home. You could also ask your midwife what they advise you to do if you’re unsure.
