Potty training - is it time?

No harm in trying! I’ve been thinking of starting as my son has started weeing on the floor as soon as his nappy is off and he’s never done that even when it’s cold! I’m nervous lol x

Definitely second that there’s no harm in trying/exposing her to it. We are really struggling to potty train my nearly 4 year old and I wish we had exposed her to the potty sooner if she was gonna be this stubborn about it! Where we are potty training my eldest my 16 month old gets involved too and takes says wee wee, takes her nappy off and sits on the potty. We did catch a wee in there the other day but she didn’t look too impressed about it 😂 she was a little freaked out but even better that she gets used to it sooner then

I’ve had to buy my daughter a potty, she started taking her nappies off and when she has a wee or a poo she goes and lies down with a nappy and wet wipes waiting for me to change her bum xx

We've been using potty since Christmas, first thing in the morning, before bath, inconsistently throughout the day and she does 90% of poops there. No harm in trying! LO doesn't tell us she's going, so we're not fully going for it yet, but the rabbits are there, she knows what it's for and we have fun reading books on potty. I suggest potty in multiple rooms if you're starting, they don't give much of a warning, so you don't wanna be running across the house

My baby does this!! And wee wee now as well 😂 we do have a potty but she just won’t sit still for long enough to use it so I’m not sure whether to try it or not. She also squats for poo poos so idk if I need a smaller potty cos she can’t touch the floor on the one I got 😬 x

Thanks all for sharing! I have a potty and a toilet seat, and a little step. Might need to get another potty. It just seems like such a big commitment to start 🙈 might give it a week or two and see if this morning was a once off or if it keeps happening, as she doesn’t seem bothered by a wet or dirty nappy at all, would quite happily sit in her filth 😂 and runs away when I say ‘shall we change you’.

Our daughter did the same thing a few weeks ago and not again since 😂 we're not potty training yet but we have the potty available to her, do nappy free time and if she signals for it we take her. We never officially potty training our eldest, we just did the same as we are now with our youngest and about a month or 2 before her 3rd birthday she just decided no more nappies and has been dry since. So I'm not inclined to build it into our routine but we are definitely encouraging it when she shows an interest 😊
