Brushing teeth?

My lo is almost 11 months old and his two bottom teeth and one of his top front teeth started to come through about a month ago. All of the teeth are still not fully through yet, should I be brushing them now anyway even when they're half way through? I have a dentist appointment booked but that's not for another two weeks.

Yeah definitely start brushing them now 😊

Start brushing them as soon as one comes through

Yes, start brushing 😊

Yep brushing with toothbrush & toothpaste

Yes start brushing as soon as teeth come through.

Yes brush but don’t worry about it being perfect, as long as the toothpaste gets moved around his mouth that’s all that matters at this age

They actually say to brush before they have teeth. You don't need toothpaste. Water is fine. But if you use toothpaste, look for a fluoride free toothpaste

Yup! Also, try to do teeth-brushing after the nighttime feeding, if there is one. Milk pools in the mouth and can be bad for teeth. It also doesn't have to be a big production at this stage. It's more about getting them used to the habit of doing it. I always take my girl into the bathroom, put toothpaste on her brush, and then hand it to her, and I take my own toothbrush and show her how. She does it together with me, and mostly she just chews and sucks on the toothbrush but she enjoys it, so I'll worry about actual brushing when she's older.

@Melissa great advice, how old is your little one? X

@Beth 9.5 months! We started around 8 months, when she got her first bottom teeth. She's not very good at it yet but I'm not too worried. Lately she's taken to just sticking the toothbrush in her mouth and leaving it there while she reaches for the box of tissues or the soap. 🤣
