Potty training help

My daughter tells me she has to go potty but doesn’t go. We wait on the potty for about ten minutes reading books singing songs, then she tells me she is ready to get down. As soon as she is let down she pees on the floor. How can I fix this ?

Honestly, narrate. “It looks like you peed. Pee goes in the toilet.” Involve her in cleanup and encourage her to go on the toilet. When she does, celebrate! There should be no shame involved. My daughter has been toilet learning for 3 weeks now and just yesterday told me she had to go, stripped her pants off, and went all on her own. She’ll start noticing that being wet is uncomfortable. Avoid diapers at all costs except during sleep times, and I use puppy pads for car rides.

We have the same issue. I really don’t know what to do. She’s used the potty twice we all praised her but it didn’t help in the long run. She sings all day long “pee pee on the potty” but doesn’t actually want to 🫠 Crazy thing is I’ve left her completely naked for naps and she’s stayed dry but trying to go after nap time is the worst.

Also, the big little feelings potty course is amazing!

My son starts to cry if we suggest using a potty.....
