Potty training questions

I have fully potty trained my 26 month old daughter however still have random questions. I'll list them to make life easier. Any advice would be amazing! Thank you 1. I use both the toilet and a small potty for her for when we don't want to come upstairs, in that case how do you clean the potty after they use it? Did you just decide to stop using it and only use the toilet? 2. When she poos how do you clean their butt? With wipes? I find that toilet paper still leaves her dirty and I find I still have to lay her down to make sure I got it all. 3. When in public do you take a potty with you or do you just sit them on a public toilet?

1. Empty the potty into the toilet and then spray down with antibacterial spray 2. Use wipes at the beginning, get her to touch her toes and wipe her bottom. 3. At the beginning of potty training, I’d take a potty with u. It’s familiar and u could also be caught short. Lol! Get lots of underwear, trousers and socks (extra pair of shoes for when ur out), if she has an accident. Lots of reassurance, it’s not her fault, it’s ok etc. U will find accidents tend to happen more when they are really engrossed in an activity! Normally poo takes a while longer to master, u can buy these liners for underwear that will protect them if they poo. Take her to the potty/toilet every hour if she isn’t asking, even if she just sits on the toilet then lots of praise! If u have any other questions, feel free to ask 😊

We use wipes to clean after poos, you can even get flushable ones if you want. The previous tip of having them touch their toes during wiping works great! We were using a full-on stool with potty attached and recently just switched to the potty insert so when she's not using it we pop it into a container next to the potty. I keep a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol/water that I use to clean the potty/any stray pee. We have a portable potty that is amazing and has a weight limit of 110lbs so you can keep it in your car for years. 1. We stopped using the potty when he was fully trained he has an insert on the seat that we take on and off as needed. (From IKEA, best one I’ve found) the suction hook for that is also from ikea lol. It’s hung up. 2. We installed a bidet for me, but the bidet really helps w them being more cleaner, squirts water up at their bum so when they wipe it’s a bit wet w water so easier to get everything. If you use wipes please bin them don’t flush them even if they say flushable they don’t degrade in water so eventually will clog the pipes 3. Yes I just hold them on the public seat. He’s rarely had to poo out in public.
