Chewing chewing chewing

Mommas! My son who is almost 2 near the end of October and he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. Paper, corner foam pieces, toys, teethers, parts of his clothes. Is this just a teething issue that we’re seeing or does anyone have any advice to help him NOT put everything in his mouth. Picture for references.

I think they do it for exploration too. It’s not something to really stop. Is he eating them too ? Or just putting it in his mouth ?

Hi! My son, who is almost 2, used to do the same thing. What really helped was always having something on hand to exchange. I would carry a baby spoon or a toy and calmly explain the exchange to him, saying something like, ‘The hammer isn’t for biting, but guess what? You can bite this!’ Then I’d offer the spoon or whatever I had available, even food sometimes. This approach worked well for us, and eventually, he started recognizing the things we categorize as ‘no biting.’ He would point at them and try to say ‘no biting,’ or even ask for something to bite instead.

It may be the beginning of molars that come around 2yr.. My kiddo is the same and asks for teether when she is uncomfy. we had a set of meal rejections and sleep issue too..

My daughter had a old balloon in her mouth, trying to out phones in her mouth..everything that isn't food basically. Lol you are not alone

My daughter keeps eating paper lately too 😂 my fave little weirdo! I think her 2yo molars are starting. Maybe he’s in the same boat!
