Mini pill

I was like this after giving birth (March 23) the bleeding/periods eventually stopped altogether so haven’t had one since Jan 24

I started it again the day after having my son and I didn’t bleed for about 12 weeks because I was breastfeeding. Then I bled for 2 weeks and I also had my smear recently and the nurse said it’s all the pregnancy hormones, the pill and everything else trying to rebalance itself. I never bled when I took it for 5 years before having my son so I’m hoping it goes back to that soon 🤞🏻 I’ve had spotting this week so I’m hoping it just needs longer to balance itself out. I was on desogestrel before having my little boy in April, I went back on it 7 weeks after having him, my first 2 periods were 7 days my last one was 2 weeks on, off for 2 days then started bleeding again for 5 days. I stopped bleeding for a week and I've started bleeding again yesterday but like above I think its just our bodies adjusting to the hormones that are been added as well as our post pregnancy hormones. So im hoping it settles down soon, hope this helps x

@Holly this is what I’m hoping will happen. I was on the injection for years and never had any bleeding so was hoping this might be the same x

I took it for years before I had my little boy and never had a period. I started taking it again afterwards and I had really sporadic bleeding for the first 3 months or so. It's settled down now and I've not had a period in 3 months.

I was the same, i tried desogestrel for almost 3 months, and i ended up speaking to my GP and changed to noriday a few days ago

Yep I’m the same been bleeding continually baring 3 days for 5 weeks now I rang the doctor and she said it can take 6 months to settle! I’m coming off of it because it’s driving me mad and I’ve re arranged my smear 3 times now and still not managed to have it! Going to wait till I’ve finished breast feeding at 6 months and just go for the patch instead x

I used to use the mini pill and didn't ever have any periods but I am on it now and had a 2 week long period. I think it's just hormones from after birth etc, hopefully it calms down x

@Elena the patch, I’ll have to look into that. I’m struggling to remember to take the pill 🤦‍♀️

I got pregnant with both my kids while on the mini pill 🙃

I think everyone is different. I was on it years ago, come off it in 2020 and my periods haven't been the same since. My friend on the other hand loved it n said it dome wonders for her.
