Small gifts for friends' babies first birthdays

I've found the posts about birthday ideas so helpful for deciding what to get my daughter/what to ask grandparents for. The first birthday of baby from my NCT class is coming up and we've been invited to her party. Any recommendations for small gifts around £10? I was thinking maybe a book but not sure which one!
