Surprise Pregnancy from late ovulation
From trying to conceive my last baby I know that I typically ovulate around day 16. My husband and I usually avoid unprotected sex from day 10 to day 20.
Last month we had unprotected sex on day 21. I’m now on cycle day 35 so around 5 days late for period. Did a test and it’s positive. Clear blue digital saying 2-3 weeks?!
We were planning to start trying from October anyway so we are thrilled but just in shock how this has happened. Has anyone else conceived ok from a late ovulation past day 20?

This is exactly what happened to us. I know exactly when I ovulate every month and can even feel which side the egg gets released from. When we conceived in April it was a (happy) shock for us too as we were so convinced ovulation had already happened so thought we were in the “safe zone”. Our bodies change so much each month don’t they
