We did it, although I didn't know it was called that at the time. I basically just had a colicky baby and found that she pooped much easier when I held her on a potty so that she could poop in a seated position, so we got in the habit of offering her the opportunity to sit on a potty at every nappy change, and if she ever did a "poop face" I'd put her on the potty. It was much easier cleanup too 😄 Eventually she preferred to poo on the potty, and would also wee on it if she happened to be there but she would still wee in her nappies. Until about 2 years old we noticed she was having dry nappies and was saving her wees for the toilet so we dropped the nappies. Night dryness followed literally about a week later, and everything was at her pace following her lead I can't imagine doing it any other way. No pressure or expectations, just giving them the opportunity to use a potty from a young age and following their lead. Then there's no sudden change to their routine or "potty training" moment

Doing it right now with my 10 month old. Only been a few weeks. Finding it challenging at times but rewarding. Why not get them out of nappies as soon as possible? Makes sense to me and saves money

Yeah he did all poops on the potty at 8m old. This was in lockdown though it was much easier coz we were mainly home. When lockdown opened up we started going out and about and I stopped it but I could’ve continued if I wanted to, it was successful for that time. So it’s def possible just needs us to be more aware of their expressions and their schedule….easier if you spend your days home but we’re always out. I use cloth diapers anyway so I wasn’t constantly buying them wasn’t constantly filling up my bins. For my baby it was very obvious when he needed to go he’d freeze, go a lil red, and that’s when I took off his nappy and put him on potty.

Yes! Love it!
