I agree with Tanya. Just call her Aurelia. Thats a beautiful name.
My daughter’s nickname is something totally unrelated to her name and just came naturally one day, forcing it may not work! X
I agree with the ladies above, the name is beautiful why is a nickname needed. If you really want one then just see what comes naturally. x
My favourite nickname would be Reya 😊
My girls name is Penelope and I always call her ickle pickle 🤗🤗🤗😂 people always ask me if we call her ‘penny’ for short. The answer is no 😅😂 her name is Penelope.
Why pick a name you love and then shorten it? Just call her the name you picked.
Elia? Or Aura? Otherwise I would just use her full name. You’ll probably end up finding a nickname unrelated to her name! My son is Louie and he got nicknamed Lou Lou by my niece 😂 but I’ve never used it and instead call him monkey/piggy. Our daughter is going to be Violet and there are no nicknames for that so will just call her violet :)
Orrie?
Aura
I'd probably shorten it to Rel, Rels, Reli/Relly, or Aury.
aw, i love both Rory and Goldie! Aura Aria Arlie Aurie Relia Ellie Allie Elia Riri Rue 💕
What a gorgeous name! 😍 (slightly bias of course 😉) Congrats on your little girl! ☺️ I grew up being called Lilie, Lizette, (in France), Auré (by my grandma, hated it!), my dad called me Réli sometimes and I also hated it. Moved to the UK and got Lily, Lils (I'm little), Lil, Auz (no idea why, I think Aurélie, Auré, Auz like Barry would become Baz) and more recently A. I think it might just come naturally eventually. I also know a couple who called their daughter Auraelia and call her Rae. I really wouldn't change her name for a nickname, it's gorgeous as it is, just see what feels natural ☺️ xx
@Sarah it's so very common in the UK to do this though. I've also been very shocked by it since moving there but it is a thing!
I hate Rory) much harder to pronounce and ruining her gorgeous name, sorry!) but I love Goldie 😍 especially as it's same meaning / roots. I wanted to call our daughter that but my husband was totally against it saying it sounds a bit chavvy in the UK which I didn't know. 😔

I think something will just naturally come with time but my automatic thought was Raye 🩷 We’re calling our baby Elodie and I know everyone is going to naturally gravitate towards El or Ellie but I LOVE Edie so we shall see how that goes 😅 x
@Grace Elodie is soooo cute. In France we'd call our friends called Elodie, Elo ☺️ Ellie is lovely too I like the gender neutral of Eddie as well ha.
I agree, Aurelia is such a beautiful name. I adore it! If you are hoping Ari is pronounced "Or-Ree" then I'd spell it Auri but either way it's a cute nickname.
What about something cute and made up/out there like Rara or Lili
Aurelia is a beautiful name on its own why shorten it? Nicknames don’t need to be a thing. I’d leave her name untouched for a while and see what comes naturally and instead of it being a “full time” nickname for everyone to use it might just be a cute nickname for closest family to use. Congratulations xx
