Travelling 🧳

This might have a really obvious answer 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m off away with my partner and in-laws tomorrow just for one night. We’re travelling a couple hours away from home and I’m worried that if I need to contact my midwife or hospital for any reason that I don’t know who to contact when away 🤷‍♀️ Do I look for the local hospital or do I ring as normal and say that I’m not in the area ? Please help 😭

Hopefully for 1 night you’ll be ok and won’t need to contact or visit the hospital for anything baby related 🤞 However, I would maybe just google the closest maternity ward, so you know, just in case. If you needed to be seen, you could always ring 111 who would be able to arrange / tell you where to go close to where you are x

Gosh I have been away loads in this country and abroad and hadn’t even thought once about that …bad mom alert 😅 you’ll be absolutely fine lovely especially for one night but if it puts your mind at rest yes defo look for nearest maternity ward and 111 would be your answer. Hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy your trip xx

111 helped me. I’m at a different hospital to my previous 2 and they told me the protocol etc
