Potty training nightmare, please advise

Day one and he have had 6 pees and none in the actual toilet. Im basically cleaning all day and I’m heavily pregnant so this is very tiring. Any tips? Did people use underwear/no underwear, after a drink how quickly did you put them on the toilet? What did you do for nap/sleep?

Seems like your little one isn't ready, don't push it. I would take a break for a few weeks and revisit potty training.

I am currently on day 3 of PT and pregnant. We are staying at grandmas house which is Hugh so on day 1 I kept her like Winnie the poo and kept her on the top floor where bathroom is so we can access the toilet fast. Every thirty minutes I would put her on the toilet. We have had many accidents I wanted to give up as well today has been much better she has been telling me she wants to go toilet. Also buy a toilet ladder seat instead of potty in case he would rather feel like a big boy

@Mama Kiki🇹🇹 ill persist for a couple more days like you said and see if it improves, we ended up having one wee in the toilet but another 2 on the floor lol a win is a win

We started potty training last week, thankfully it was warm enough to be in the garden so all accidents were outside. Day 1 and 2 he just didn’t get it at all, accidents all the time, didn’t want his nappy off and would kick the potty over, then randomly on day 3 it just clicked. We were naked from the waist down for 3 days and didn’t leave the house and were nappy free at all times except sleep time and I made it clear the nappy is only for sleeping. I was also surprised at how little he went for a wee so only asked him every hour. Every time he sat on he got lots of praise regardless of whether there was a wee or a poo then if he did actually wee or poo I made even more of a big deal high 5s lots of cheering etc. I’d give it a couple more days.

@Zoey love this its the boat were in! Hopefully it goes the same way

It doesn’t seem that he/she is ready. Do you need to do it because of daycare?

I started, did a week and even though my little boy showed all the signs, ticked all the boxes, we had so many accidents and had tears so I stopped. I'm giving it a few months and then will see where we are at. Don't feel the pressure just because others are. Your little one will be ready when they are ready

They do normally say it is not a good time to do it when there are changes happening so you might want to wait until baby is here and settled x
