Potty training.

Bear with me FTM here so not sure how to potty train a boy. Do it teach him sitting or standing? He has no interest in sitting on the toilet, I try to take him with me and show him his potty while I potty and we flush and wash our hands… He’s almost 2 and REFUSESSSSSSS TO KEEP A DIAPER ON.

We do sitting (: but my partner tries with him standing every once in a while because when he’s in the bathroom with dad he watches him do it that way I think sitting is more practical & productive to start with, because it puts you on the road to pooping on the toilet not just peeing

My boy was always standing for wee wee since he Started pottty training x he is 3,5 now goes to the toilet on his own and he stands . Maybe you can teach him to stand instead of sitting and he might like that better

@Parker 又 thank you!

We did sitting at first and then taught standing once he was more.. cognizant and independent about it lol like once we knew he could follow the instructions instead of just being like "I hope to god he knows that I'm saying to stand only when he pees and not.. you know.."

When my son was smaller, I taught my son by sitting and he was very comfortable in his pull-ups. Him being comfortable made him not care too much about potty training. So what I did is, I got plastic underwear for him. He hated the feeling of being wet so he just started using the potty himself from that moment lol. Since your son doesn’t want to keep the diapers on, maybe try plastic underwear.

I’m in the same Boat with my son he’s almost two but he doesn’t like the diapers or pull ups pray for us

Third time mom but first time potty training a boy…we are just thinking about trying to teach him how to use the potty standing. He is almost 2.5 & has been potty training for a little while, started him off naked butted at home then switched to training undies (he’s been wearing them for about 4months now). We are probably close to actually being potty trained during the wake hours (I mean, no accidents and can almost pull pants down on his own).

Sitting. After everything had clicked and we were in a place where I could say he was properly potty trained then we started teaching standing up but only for the purpose of ‘wild wees’. Like when out for a walk and no toilets around or occasionally when he’s busy in the garden. If there’s a toilet we can use then it’s always sitting. He’s two and a half.

We did sitting. Although he occasionally does a standing wee with my partner or a standing ‘bush wee’ when he’s outside. He’s 2.5 and I’ll just let him switch to standing wees when he shows more interest
