Peeing outside diapers

Baby boy is about to be 2 months old on sept 9 he weighs 9lbs. He’s in size 1 diapers already. Just today he’s peed through a few diapers where I changed his outfit 4-5 times already. Currently using pampers and never had an issue. I don’t know if I need to size up to size 2 already. I feel like I just sized up to 1 a few weeks ago. I also just bought a new box of diapers size 1 but luvs that I haven’t opened yet. Will keep an eye on it the rest of the day. Also before anyone asks, yes I point his thing down. Anyone have this happen to them?

We are on size 2 already - baby born July 6th. Thinking of sizing up to 3 because we are having this happen with our size 2s. He’s almost 14 pounds though

@Anne hmm ok thank you.

I found this happened with other brands and I switched brands and it stopped happening. Some diapers are shaped different

If it’s pampers I notice my daughter owes through try switching to honest never had a leak with them and with boys try and make sure there penis is facing down and not up

@Kayleigh what brand did you use and then what brand did you switch to? I don’t like Huggies for him. Pampers are good but if this keeps happening then idk what to do. @Lia it is pampers and I do point his thing down. I’ve looked at those and they are kind of pricey for a small box. I tried kirkland, target and Walmart brand diapers only because they were gifts and didn’t like them either. Thank you!

Same issue with pampers 🙄 I am finishing my box and gonna try Huggies again in size 1 or I’ll size up too

I went from hello bello to huggies for little fresh babies and then for my bigger baby (1.5 years) went from hello bello to up&up (or super absorb) from target

This happened to me with Huggies and I kept on having to change his outfits, but for some reason pampers works and I know it's crazy but the brand that Target sells has been working like a charm and he hasn't leaked through it. My baby is 10 pounds and he's a size one. He may need a size up to two and just keep an eye out. I'm trying to go through all the diapers I got during my baby shower.

Make sure it’s pointed down. But we had a lot of issues with pampers leaking.

We had this happen, and we switched diaper brands. It didn't help, so we sized up. Haven't had an issue with it since.

Just go up a size

We had this happen too - switched up brands (Huggies plus), sometimes double diapered at night, ruffles out, and pointing his part down helped. I also read (and I think this was the case with us!) if baby is too cold, they can leak through as well. :) Hope it gets better for you!

I have a baby girl same age as yours she's pretty small but pampers haven't been our friend they just seem to squeeze her a little too much. We use Huggies skin essentials and it's a life saver. Other brands just didn't hug her properly.

My daughter was born the 9th and she’s 9 pounds in size one I noticed with pampers she peed through them so I got Huggies pampers is just what I had at the house in a one

I felt like pampers would get stretched out. Hated them. Have zero issues with Huggies and my girl pees A LOT and it holds it all

@Jessica yes they are the same price just for less diapers but keep in mind pampers may supply you with more but if cause mite work when you have to change them all the time and wash there clothes all the time I just had to wash clothes because my daughter wet her diaper and it leaks right out now I’m washing again if you live in the us and people brought you lots of diapers you can exchange them in Walmart for any brand hopes this helps

Definitely not size 2. Size two is for 12 lbs and up, so he'll likely pee out the side. Can you tell where the leak is coming from? The top or near his leg? How often do you change the diaper? We recently switched to sams club brand, mostly for cost savings, and I like them better than pampers. I didn't like huggies either. Not sure why they just didn't work for my little man.

They may be too big? Size 1 starts at 10 lbs. Otherwise, make sure the gussets ruffle out of his legs and aren't tucked back, make sure his penis is pointing down, tighten the waist, change often.
