Arm implant birth control
So I had gotten mastitis a couple weeks ago so I was given antibiotics. I later heard somewhere that antibiotics can make birth control less effective but unfortunately I had already had sex a few times at this point. I have the arm implant birth control, has anyone experienced this and gotten pregnant? I am 8 months pp and scared now 😭

I never got pregnant with the arm implant that I had on for about 2 years. It's extremely effective. I took antibiotics at one point but still had sex and I was never told it could make it less effective til later on. You should be good! But just take a pregnancy test in a few weeks to make sure.

I’m surprised it didn’t say it on the bottle or in drug pamphlet u get with your meds. Even pharmacist usually warns women of this when getting your meds. And getting pregnant isn’t always so easy the second time around it can be for some and for others not so much. Just keep an eye out and give yourself some grace. Don’t drive yourself crazy till you have something to worry about. No news is good news so to speak. But definitely recommend other means of protection for the next month or so to be sure ur birth control is back up to speed. I’ve done this my self in past before I ever had kids and worried my self silly. And everything turned out fine with no un wanted pink lines for me at the time. Hugs lady.
