How to make my sweat smell better?

It's my groin annoyingly. When I go to the gym, I sweat excessively down there (annoying AF) & the smell isn't great. Is there anything you can suggest (that isn't feminine washes as I'm using one) that can improve the smell of my groin sweat? 🫣

It may be hormonal unfortunately, but you can also take a look at your diet as that can affect smells to if your ph is off like pineapple, cinnamon, watermelon, plain yoghurt and cranberries which are all balancing and probiotic. You could try probiotic pills too. It could also be your personal care product as some feminine care ones can throw off your ph or change your bacteria levels detrimentally.

In addition to the above maybe one of those deodorants you can use anywhere like Lumi?

Thanks ladies 😊

Also make sure you’re not over washing downstairs with your fem wash as can make things worse, water alone is fine xx

@Nikita I was using water alone prior to last week when I started the fem wash & water alone wasn't helping 🥹😭honestly so depressing x

When u say groin do you mean your actual external groin area or something else? Do you shower before going to the gym? I sweat a lot when I exercise so I shower before going so i don't smell (and after obviously) . Also if you wear tight clothes to the gym maybe wear looser shorts or bottoms instead. X

@Toni my actual groin😕 & yee, I shower before. Maybe I need to try looser bottoms x

The fem wash can def alter PH and isn’t nec to use, but if just water alone wasn’t helping, then it’s gotta be a diet thing. Maybe up your water intake and do what @Sarah mentioned about probiotics. I want to add on to the loose bottoms statement which could help but I recommend trying cotton material for bottoms. Cotton is more breathable than what most work out clothes are made of unfortunately like polyester/nylon/etc.

@Stephanie I've tried a particular brand of probiotics & no difference. Is there any you & @Sarah would recommend? I've also tried finding cotton workout bottoms but not much luck as you said the material is usually not cotton 😫

Idk about product per se, but what about yogurt or kefir? I would try that and like I mentioned cotton clothes. It’s a bit pricey but there’s a brand called mate the label. They have organic cotton athletic wear. Or you could just find regular leggings and a cropped tee that are primarily cotton based even if they’re not labeled as “work out” clothes. That’s what I do lol

@Stephanie thank you, I might have to do the latter cuz those prices on that site😲😲😲 haha 😂

lol I get it! But reg “athletic wear” isn’t as good for you anyways so no matter what you try, at least your skin will now be able to breathe haha. it may not always be the cutest, but I hope it helps and works for you!😌

@Stephanie thank you 😊💕

So there is another brand that also does athletic wear and is organic cotton. They’re actually having a sale right now! Their leggings are $20 each and I thought I’d share 😊 https://wearpact.com/women/apparel/all%20bottoms/on%20the%20go-to%20legging/wa1-wfz-dfo?glCountry=US&glCurrency=USD&utm_medium=&utm_campaign=maid2946&utm_source=google&utm_content=&utm_term=&cid=18082883894&agid=&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD2RSZ98s8eScEvVpuJM1R4TsO9Xi&gclid=CjwKCAjwlbu2BhA3EiwA3yXyuzDeXOsQOOsLgtyAbryfAAGcY0toYMwmmUEnLROV2CFfydoXgZY5zRoCRIwQAvD_BwE
