I don’t have PCOS, but I have heard metformin can be helpful for people with PCOS

Acupuncture 👌🏻 for you and your partner.

Go to the GP and ask for a referral with a gynaecologist so that a specialist can check if there’s anything else going on. It usually takes couples up to a year anyway but it’s better to get on waiting lists early. Tell them you’ve been trying for longer (over a year) as they don’t do anything before this time

I haven’t actually been diagnosed with PCOS but with my hair on face and being hairy I’m just assuming, I have been pregnant twice and my second I was pregnant really early and I have regular periods and for 5 days at a time every month so I’m not sure, I’m worried as I’m taking ovulation test and my PCG just seems a lot lower and never passed 1 like others that I have seen x

Some women are just hairy; PCOS is more than just excessive hair as some women with PCOS don’t even have excessive hair. It can be more so things like elevated testosterone. I get cysts on my ovaries as well. I also have infertility (took 6 years to conceive). Unfortunately, it manifests itself differently for everyone. Dependant on age, depends on if you’ll even been seen by a fertility clinic (in the US at least) under 35, you need to be trying for a year minimum with no results. Over 35, 6 months. As you’ve only been trying for 5 months, I’d say get checked by a gynaecologist and see.

Metformin and myo inostol can be good

Low gi foods

I would go run a full panel and see if any of your hormones are off. My fertility specialist really recommends Inositol as a supplement for women trying to get pregnant with PCOS… and even without. I don’t think you need Metformin/Letrozole or Clomid if you’re ovulating regularly. Metformin made me horribly sick. I’ve taken Letrozole 10 times no complains and resulted 2 pregnancies (done has to be tested and adjusted). Clomid isn’t as effective as Letrozole for PCOS. It wakes up to a year for a healthy couple to get pregnant so give it some time.

I'll say a gynecologist is best to go see. It could be that you just have a higher testerone level which can explain the very hairy part. With PCOS, it is when you have multiple cysts on your ovaries that can cause irregular periods, can cause you to have a period but never ovulated that cycle etc. I have PCOS, so for me, I don't ovulate naturally and my cycles are very irregular which makes it harder to conceive but not impossible. I wouldn't honestly worry about the numbers for your peak because every woman is different so whats considered normal to them, may not be normal for you. As long as you have your peak and then lighter tests afterwards, it seems you are ovulating. Seeing a gynecologist, they can run tests to check for any issues and if need be, refer you to a fertility specialist. Most want you to try for atleast a year with no result in pregnancy before seeking fertility treatment. Good luck.

I thought I had PCOS bc I’m also hairy, turns out it’s just from my family and we all have thick dark hair 😂 I had an ultrasound and had hormones done and it came back all normal- don’t panic! Have you been tracking ovulation? X

Yeah I have been tracking ovulation and seem to ovulate every month as picture above x

Take an Inositol supplement & invest in a Mira fertility tracker. It changed my life, no more confusion.

Be careful with inositol and maca root etc, can mess with your cycles x

I don’t want I can do the. Just want to get pregnant; did you get pregnant in the end xx

Who? X

Sorry Robyn yourself As you said you thought you had pcos… maybe I am just hairy lol x

Ah! I haven’t yet no, but I’ve just been trying 5 months so not too worried yet x

But if you’re ovulating, I’d say you’re okay- most people struggle with PCOS and conceiving because they can’t ovulate, so if you are that’s a good sign! X

I could have same and I have regular period that lasts 5 days and I thought I don’t have pcos. How do you know you have such ?

Go to your OB currently getting help to conceive also PCOS I got a full panel, ultrasound to check cysts and now on 1,000mcg pf metformin to help me ovulate

Take myo inostol and seek help - theyll prescribe metformin and maybe letrozole - sometimes pcos patients need to ' super ovulate ' - my consultants words yest
