Ah, dental work in the UK is expensive. Things like crowns and implants will cost you an arm and a leg. I didn’t even know you can get this for free on nhs if you agree to metal. Depending on where the tooth is located, you could consider that. I mean there is a reason dental tourism to places like Turkey, Romania, Poland, etc is sooooo popular 😅 but wouldn’t make a difference for just one crown.
You could always have the metal and then change it when you’re back working again if you can be bothered by then. That’s what I would do…
Are you breastfeeding? My dentist wouldn’t do metal as I was breastfeeding…apparently it’s a recent change
Sorry I should have specified that it meant I got white on the nhs because of it
@Lauren yes I am breastfeeding! Dentist should really have told me this.
Mine was a little coy about it as I think they probably don’t want to publicise it!!
I have a crown right at the front and hate it. I mean in comparison to my chipped tooth it was better but now I hate it and will be getting a private one. Usually can do it on finance over a period of time x
Hey! I’m a Dental Nurse- £700 is a lot but it’s actually normal for a crown these days! I have to say if you don’t want a metal one then don’t get it from the start to change it later. I find the first fit is always the best bond and longer lasting etc x
Following! I’m in the same boat
