Success with slow growing embryo?

Hi all, We went in for my embryo transfer yesterday to be told that out of 8 fertilised, we had two slow growing embryos. They transferred one (day 5) and said they hope it will continue to grow inside me, and said they will give the second another day to see if it can be frozen. I am devastated, I have been quite poorly on the long protocol and feels like I have nothing to show for all I’ve been through. I’ve also had very bad cramping after transfer so have pretty much ruled us out completely. Has anyone got any success stories with transferring a slow growing embryo?

Try to stay positive! We had 7 collected 2 fertilised, 1 transferred day 5 that they said wasn’t growing as quick as they would like I now have a 4 month old little girl, just try and relax best you can I know it’s hard tho! I found walks and baths helped me I didn’t have my bath too hot tho- feel free to message me if you want to chat xx

@Hannah oh that’s amazing, congratulations! That’s given me some hope, I’d written it off completely really. Maybe I need to be more positive! X

Embryo quality (whether chromosomes are normal) is not visible to the eye really so all the rating/observation is just an indicator! We also had one that was slow but stuck. Try to relax and hope for the best! X

Cramping is a good sign! That could mean that embryo is getting cozy in there. I too had slow growing embryos. I had zero day 5s, two day 6s & two day 7s. I have a 20 month old from a day 6 embryo & currently pregnant with a day 7 embryo! Stay positive & good luck! 🤞🙏🫶

@Teresa wow what a fantastic outcome! Congratulations. This definitely gives me hope. Thank you!
