Raised levels- liver?

Hi all, first time mum due 6/11/24! Currently almost 29 weeks pregnant and had a call to go back for more bloods following my 28 week bloods one week apart- due to raised levels- liver. Does anyone know what this means please?

It’s hard to know but higher liver levels can indicate a condition called intrahepatic cholestasis which I think is essentially where the body doesn’t cope with the influx of pregnancy hormones. But it could also be something totally different. Random but are you taking pregnacare? My sister had high liver levels in pregnancy and it turned out several women had been having liver issues from taking pregnacare. She was advised by her consultant to stop, and within a few weeks the levels were back to normal! X

@Jules thank you! No not taking this, I did at the start and then ran out x

I have the same thing, they just need to monitor your bloods you usually don’t go full term, I am not allowed to go past 39 weeks x

@Megan thank you!! X
