I do brush my LO teeth. But the top two front ones have white marks on.

I don’t know what to do

Do you use a toothpaste with fluoride added? If so switch to a fluoride free toothpastes as fluoride can cause white spots on teeth

@Heather never used fluoride would never let a baby use that !

Good 🥰🥰

Can I ask why against fluoride? I use Colgate for babies...am I doing something wrong.. dentist recommended it 😬

It's a neurotoxin

@Nic I’m using fluoride toothpaste for my LG at the recommendation of my HV and dentist.

@Nic yes dentists do recommend i guess it is good for teeth but not for the body and personally that’s more important to me x like above said ‘neurotoxin’ may be good for teeth but no one can argue that it is good for us

What doses of fluoride are safe or unsafe? It states a tiny bit (less then a pea) of toothpaste should be used 2x a day. How much fluoride is that and how much is needed to be toxic. Water is toxic in the correct dose I think the amount of fluoride is minuscule and that’s why a dentist recommends it as the risks are so low and the benefits outweigh them. There is also fluoride in drinking water so I guess you may worry there as well so it does make sense it an extent. I haven’t done that much research however, these are my initial feelings. If you’re not using fluoride then I’d suggest going to the dentist so they can have a look xx

@Emma I just personally wouldn’t want my baby using that in their mouth ! Thank you will do xx

@Emma thankfully our tap water isn't fluoridated, if itnwss we wouldn't drink it

@Heather I believe that some water companies do put fluoride in the water in the UK. I think it should detail in on their website or you need to contact them and ask. It’s great that yours don’t! X

That’s fair enough @incog x

@Emma I already told you that out water supply isn't fluoridated, I have checked and do regularly check incase that changes because they don't have to make a huge announcement The next "area" over where I work they do have fluoride added and we don't use the tap water for drinking or cooking for the children either (day nursery) due to the high levels
