Toilet training a threenager

So, i have been trying to toilet train my just turned 3 year old boy Charlie. weve had a few successes and gave him lots of praise yet when it comes to trying again he does not want to put any pants on or take his nappy off. Ive tried reward charts, treats… you name it! Im now getting worried as everyone is saying he should be in pants by now… Any help appreciated Thank you x

Don't worry about anyone else's opinion of 'he should be in pants by now' every child is different and it's your opinion that matters only 🥰

He's not ready yet leave the potty out and around and give it a couple of weeks and try again. We had this with my son and it seem to work. Theres no rush he will get it. 😊

Maybe you need to have a couple of days of no nappies/pants and just let him fully get used to it? X

Have you tried playing in the garden with a long T-shirt and no pants on (with the potty on the side) for a few days? We have always done EC and finally at Xmas we took her bottom clothes away and put a potty in the room where we played and she would use it independently whenever she needed it

Just here for the comments. Ok in exactly the same position, he can do it and we’ve had 3 occasions where he’s gone days wearing his pants but now he absolutely refuses. He’s so strong willed, nothing will change his mind. So I can offer no advice but can say I feel your pain and understand your worry 😩
