Social services uk

My child has certain vaccines but others I’ve declined/say im delaying. Im so worried the social services are going too take my child. Of course there’s no neglect my child is very very well taken care of. Im just worried as apparently it can be classed as neglect. Any reassurance?

Omg do not worry. At the end of the day you as a parent are making the decisions you feel are essential for your baby. You can always choose and SS will not interfere with vaccinations. My child is not vaccinated and had open heart surgery at 8 months. If I had chosen to vaccinate my daughter she may not have made it to surgery day.

I had my 1 yr appointment last week and was dreading it as I've declined all vaccines and have had some hard conversations in the past, but health visitor was totally respectful of my decision and said it was our decision. But also I was prepared for a hard conversation and was going to say that I'm very aware of the risk Vs reward stats and my child is healthy and as a couple we've decided to delay them x

It's a legal right in this country so social services wouldn't get involved for it, don't worry 🧡

Vaccines in the UK are optional service, noone has a right asking you why.

Do not worry , both of my Buba’s haven’t been vaccinated in the Uk we are lucky enough that we have a choice not to vaccinate :)

I'm in a similar situation ATM.. GP is threatening to pass our details onto child services as my 3yo hasn't had all his vaccinations. I thought it was a parental choice but now I feel like I'm being forced.

@Emma it is 100% parental choice, vaccines are opt in service. Change GP this weekend, you don't want someone who doesn't respect your choices to be looking after you and your family

@Emma I agree with @Lenka !! Never feel forced! Also your child isn’t at risk, don’t let the threats scare you. CS wouldn’t even call you after seeing they’ve been referred over incomplete vaccines😅 the amount of times I’ve been questioned by people working for the NHS with my daughter being in and out of hospital. I simply tell them I’ve done my research and there’s not enough evidence. And cardiologists were the only one to agree and inform me if I did do it my daughter probably wouldn’t have made it with her heart. Don’t forget Emma! You know your babies best🩷
