Learn something new that is in high demand. Ai, Crypto, to name a couple. I joined a design certificate program for 6 months work fully remote now. If you want to make more than minimum wage, you’ll have to put in the extra work, but it pays off! There are a ton of free certificates you can get. For remote office jobs - focus on customer service. Call centers hire remote workers, but the pay is usually not so great.

@Alessandra It’s really about being able to make any money while at home with my child and eventually two. I need money now. I’m will to learn a new skill but I need to do something in the meantime.

@Alessandra Like the trade I went to school for isn’t helpful because I can’t leave my kids at home by themselves and I can’t make enough to pay for daycare and help with bills. So I need to find something else. My husband works during the day so I have to be home during the day and not at work or else we would have to figure out how to pay for daycare and I wouldn’t make enough for that.
I understand that fear! Check out Stride K12. It’s a national company that has online charter schools in each state. They don’t just have teaching positions, but have a lot of different types of needs. You may qualify for one or be able to get qualified in something this year. I worked for Oklahoma’s online charter school for three years. I highly recommend. My job was 8-5 and I just had to be “near” my school-issued computer between classes I taught.

You can get your insurance license and work for an insurance company from home. I’m about to take my classes to get my license and then start working before the new year.
