My obstetrics appointment was for a booking appointment but that should happen way before then, mines happening at 10 weeks, have you already had your booking appointment?

I've got one for the 19th when I'll be about 16 weeks as well. I'm consultant led so guessing it's just a check in. Think I just had video calls in my last pregnancy but this one's at the hospital.

My first hospital appointment is on Wednesday, so I haven’t even seen anyone yet apart from my midwife?? I’ve had bloods etc done and everything’s fine?? Xx @Samara

@@Grace it might be your booking appointment then when you’ll talk about birth preferences and plans things like that not 100% may be good to call ask confirm what it’s about instead of being left to wonder x

@Louise oh okay!! I’ve got a few friends that have babies and they never had one of these?? Very strange as I haven’t had my 12 weeks yet, so they don’t even have any info about baby??

At my booking appointment I was put down as high risk due to BMI and having twins, so I have an appointment with the obstetrics team in October when I’ll be 16 weeks as well. My midwife explained that I’ll be consultant-led due to those things. Did the midwife say anything at all about anything being high risk during booking? Like your BMI, medical history, etc.? Because if she did, it may be something to do with that😊 I wouldn’t say being seen more often is a bad thing though, it might just mean more checks for you and baby xx

@Katie hey babe, nope absolutely everything BMI, bloods, blood pressure is all perfect. Everything is fine apparently?? My iron is a little low but apparently nothing to worry about?? I called the hospital and they said to call back on Monday as it might’ve been a mistake?? Everything just worries me haha xx

I also got a letter through the other day for an appointment at 16 weeks with obstetrics. It threw me as it didn’t happen with my first. I asked my midwife and she said it’s just a routine thing they do now to see if you need any extra support but idk if I’ve been offered it cos I’m classed as an old mam (I’m 37)

Thank you ladies!!! I’ve just been told it’s because of my hyper mobility, got awful joint problems haha!! Panic over thank you though everyone!!!🤍🤍🤍
