Tooth brushing

Does letting baby chew on the head of their toothbrush count as brushing their teeth cos that's the closest I'm getting rn 🙃

(She only has one tooth at the moment so it's new to us)

Haha! Honestly I'd take that as a win! I've tried baring my teeth and saying 'rrr' like a dog (if that makes sense). And he'll usually open his mouth enough for me to get the end in kind of the right place. Then I'll say 'brush brush brush' and try to take it away before he can grab it. Not 100% success rate but does enough of a job while he's just got the bottom two.

I let my little one chew it first and then am like ‘ooh mummy finish up’ and then I’m able to give them a quick brush over before she’s like ‘nope no more’

Sadly not but it’s a good start to get used to the texture. Keep on with it, demonstrating on yourself and toys and they’ll get it eventually.

I've been giving my little one a toothbrush for months now, and when she got teeth I just added toothpaste. She honestly loves brushing her teeth and she now takes the brush from me once the paste is on and sits there doing it herself for a minute or two before she gets bored, takes it out and "deposits" the toothbrush somewhere 😂😂. While she brushes her teeth I sing "brush brush brush your teeth, Elodie is brushing teeth, brush brush brush your teeth, Elodie is brushing teeth..." in the tune of "one, two, three, four, five, once I caught a fish alive". She smiles everytime and even when she's in a mood it makes her stop crying

Still struggling with our daughter, she is three.
