I had polyhydramnios too (too much amniotic fluid) in my first pregnancy but baby was measuring small (born at 6 pound 5)
@Georgie please don’t feel guilty or that it’s because of something you have done. At 28 weeks my bump was measured as 3 weeks ahead but don’t have a growth scan until 32 weeks. I’ve had one test for GD which was negative. But my midwife was reassuring, said that it’s not often we grow a baby that our body can’t fit, and also it’s better to have a baby on the bigger side than a small baby as often small babies can have difficulties initially. I’m anxious about potentially having a big baby (like how do I get him out 😂😂) but try and look at it - like everyone should big or small - you are doing an amazing job growing your baby and providing a home for her. As long as baby is healthy then the weight doesn’t matter. It’s a shame we feel a lot of anxiety and shame around it though, sending love 🤍
@Jami thank you, I really needed to hear that! Everything is so worrying in pregnancy isn’t it, I’ll feel a lot better when she’s here with me 🤣 that is my thinking as well like if she’s huge I dread to think about the labour! Hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and have a safe and happy labour with a safe and healthy baby! ♥️
Hi, my girl is! I’m 28w today and she’s on the 97th centile, she’s weighing 2lb 15oz and they have concerns I have GD but I’ve had 2 test and both negative. They suspect she may just be a big girl and I have a lot of fluid so they are worried about that as well 😩 She’s my first so I have nothing to compare her size to but I also feel so guilty and worried like I’ve done something wrong to cause her to be on the bigger side 😭 xx
