To begin with it’s the same way. Just sitting on a potty or a toilet. When they become older they will just learn how to use the toilet standing up.

My boys went straight to stand up wees! Never wanted to sit down, that did then become difficult when they needed to poo🤦🏽‍♀️😂 but we got there in the end!!

Patience and more patience 😂 oh, and lots of towels for when they decide to decorate the house

Thanks girls!!! I don’t know if I’m being a bit thick but I don’t have the same parts I don’t know how that works 😂😂

May I ask how old is your boy? My boy is 15 months and everyone is telling me to start potty training, but I have no clue from where even start

Same as girls, make sure they are pointing into the potty. My girl was actually very good at peeing straight up if I didn't make sure she was pointing into the potty too.

@Margarita 15 months too😂I keep getting the same from everyone cos apparently boys take longer to potty train then girls? I don’t know if that’s true tho. I have no idea either I decided to start by ordering a potty training book and ask any questions on here but no idea where to go from there 😂😂

15 months is very very young!! I’ve not heard of anyone train that young in my own circles. My kids have both been closer to 3 so i would say wait a fair bit longer and it will be much easier

@Sophie ahh love that!! Cos I don’t feel ready never mind him😅 so many people kept saying I had to start soon and I started to feel like I’d messed up🥲

Your baby will start to give you cues if they are ready, start small and don't make it into a big deal when they wet themselves or pee everywhere which will happen. Although everyone says boys take longer I think consistency is key, once you start just keep going as I think it harder starting over and over. Another tip if possible avoid pull up nappy pants, that for me has made the journey harder if I went from naked to normal pants we would be home dry. Oh and if anyone else takes care of him get them in on the action so there's no mix signals also a mistake I made.

@Michaela thankyou so much🫶🏼

No different except you need to make sure the penis is facing down so the wee doesn’t go everywhere- sometimes it helps if they have their legs wider apart when sitting on the potty or toilet or they lean their body forward as penises have a mind of their own 😅 We potty trained my son when he was 25 months using the oh crap method.

Definitely not!!! You have ages before you need to worry about this, I would say wait until atleast his birthday. They all show signs at different times but honestly 15 months I wouldn’t even be giving it a thought! :)

A potty and lots and lots and lots and lots of pants. When you think you have enough changes of clothes..get more. Then you'll be ok. Lots of washing 😂. Me and my partner potty trained my step son at nearly 3 and he was soooo ready. Taking his nappy off to go, telling us when he had gone or that he needed to go. We felt bad because we were waiting for us to have some days off together to do it and thought we were pushing it late for him.... He still weed everywhere. Or would just go and stand in the garden and do it! Lots and lots and lots of praise when he did it on the potty. To the point where he celebrated his own poos 😂❤️ And yeah just make sure his willy is pointing down. I can't say he took any longer than my niece who's a month older. She had a regression as well but he just went through it!
