potty training

my little one’s a bit late to the party haha but now he’s saying he doesn’t want to wear nappies and he’ll only wear pants….but we’re going through so many pairs a day as he keeps wetting himself, i’m asking him if he needs a wee every 30 mins, making him come to the loo with me and when we’re home he has access to potty and we just have pants on. he will not have a nappy on and really kicks up a fuss but i can’t keep changing his pants every hour, he’s not even attempting to go on the potty and when i ask if he needs to pee he yells no at me, then the majority of the time he’ll wee seconds later!! does this get easier all of a sudden?!

Yeah my daughter didn’t seem to know how to go for ages then once day it clicked and everything has been grand since

If you're at home, just go naked, it will save you going through pants and it might make it easier for him - the pants probably feel like a nappy, but also he might struggle to get them down in time

Our little girl has been potty training for what feels like about 2 months now we’ve just done it gradually! She started exactly the same, little wees CONSTANTLY never going on the potty even when I kept suggesting it etc but she is getting better! I do find she still thinks she has a ‘nappy’ on when she has pants on, so most of the time she is naked. Found taking her out as well means she has to hold it a bit longer

Naked on the bottom for a couple of days at home as he likely won’t like weeing on the floor and might be enough to spur him onto the potty/toilet. Our daughter never liked the potty so we went straight to toilet - could be worth a try!
