Fit to fly certificates

Hi All, I’m due to go to Portugal in October and will be 29 weeks pregnant when we fly. I’ve been advised that I will need a fit to fly certificate however my midwife said that my trust don’t offer these anymore. Where can I get one from? I really don’t want to cancel our baby moon and can’t change the dates due to work and university commitments

Contact your GP and double check x

I got one from my GP. Not a single person checked it at the airport though, either direction 😂 I was a bit miffed as the GP was a bit funny about giving the certificate as I'd had some minor issues during pregnancy and they charge £25 too but nobody cared 😂

I got mine from the GP when I flew to Majorca at 34 weeks. You can also get them online…they checked my certificate both when flying out and returning.

My GP wouldn’t give me one! I had to get one from an online GP where you provide all your medical notes etc and they can prescribe you one - cost me £40!! But no one even wanted to see it or cared at the airport so waste of money lol

I too got it from my own GP, paid smt like £30... Airline specified it can't be older than 6 days so coming back got another from Turkey.

I asked my midwife for one when I went to Aiya Napa when I was 32 weeks, she also said they don’t provide them. I was stopped before I got on the plane to ask how many weeks I had left and if I was ok to fly and just told him my midwife said I didn’t need a form and had a healthy pregnancy and was fine
